Cayman Islands payments

Let's not let this issue get away from the focus. We are looking at the relocation and the many flaws involved but this issue is equally dangerous.

I wonder how the Japanese government would view off-shore payments, the money must have come from Japan so how was it taken offshore and paid to certain management people? Interesting stuff.

May I suggest you all focus on the big game.

The big game is the redevelopment project.

If there are genuine concerns, I am sure the the President will be happy to hear them.

What is needed is the appropriate forum.

Any suggestions?

This is an appropriate forum. The TAC website has no forum so where else to post comments? Town Hall meetings are too infrequent and anything but a free and open environment. The last ones were run by the LRPC and the atmosphere was one of rule by decree - "this is what is going to happen."

If the President is one that thinks the temporary relocation is a fine and dandy thing, he should resign immediately. This project will bankrupt TAC.

Until this Cayman Islands question gets an honest answer, why not keep it open?

I am sure each member of the Board understands his or her personal liability.

The vote on the redevelopment project is therefore a vote of confidence or no-confidence in the Board.

Management, as long as it follows precisely the instructions of the Board, has none.

Therein is the problem. Management with no liability. Almost a dream job considering their huge salaries and benefits.

A further explantory on Item 5 of notes to the accounts should put the issue to rest so we can focus on the big issue.

I agree with one of the comments already made above in that the last meeting I attended about the relocation had the head of the LRPC speaking at length in such a tone and way that the relocation was a "done deal". That type of forum did not create an atmosphere where open dialog was encouraged at all.

It is therefore such a shame in my opinion that members have had to resort to this blog type of communication in order to have their comments & feelings aired.

Shame on the LRPC , and the Board of TAC, for not openly testing the waters for members' feelings much earlier in some type of forum that they would feel comfortable and not be considered as just being negative and/or against progress for the club.

I commend whoever started this blog forum and I hope that all members of the LRPC and ther Board are reading the comments & taking them in to account. Not doing so could turn out to be a fatal mistake not only for those people but more importantly for the future of TAC.

I am hoping for more members to express their views, whatever they may be.

Couldn't agree more. Not much I can add to the above but I'm grateful for this blog, it has really opened my eyes. Some things might be simple rumour but what isn't rumour is the fact that the move to Takanawa is being made look like a done deal.

I'll repeat one thing - shame on the LRPC and the BOard for allowing this to be the impression.
