Want a Free TAC Membership?

For anyone seeking a cost effective entry to TAC,I suggest you rent accommodation close to the temporary club in Takanawa.

It would seem that some local residents who have made complaints about the proximity of the club and perceived increases in traffic and noise, have received free memberships.

It's a novel approach to revenue enhancement but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Hats off to the team for thinking outside the box.

Hold on just a tick.

I live near the old club at Azabudai and it is my perception that there will be a lot of noise and additional heavy goods vehicle traffic arising from the demolition of the old club and construction of the new club : do I therefore qualify for a new free membership to replace the one that cost me so much to acquire some years ago, and which has been so devalued of late ?

Furthermore, and assuming that I am still here in 2012 - when the new TAC might just be ready for occupancy [but don't hold your breath] - when the new premises open there will be even more noise and traffic arising from all my fellow members streaming back into the Azabudai area : could this qualify me for yet another free membership of TAC ?

May I have a cash lumpsum instead ?

The gift that keeps on giving - to some people at any rate - the TAC redevelopment project.....

Am a former BOG who tried for 2 years to instill professionalism into the BOG..one of the fundamental issues is that TAC is run by amatuer part timers, why not engage professional management as is done in HK, Sing Beijing& Shamghai . Why :

there is more to the numbers...a big number of BOG and friends actually make money from the club, from providing services ,selling products, etc.
Though in light of Enron, WorldCom and SOX compliance this would recede---but in fact have been exacerabated since the pot is bigger...

Several long term members looked at selling or long term leasing the land...and found we could build a similar or bigger club, and actually all member would receive a check bck from the Club...pretty compelling--

Anybody have any thing other than rank gossip to support any of these claims? If so, bring out the evidence. If not, why not support the Club by running for office and making it all right? The power is in our hands!
